Victoria Carriage Scroll saw Project - Day 8

Ah! Ah! Ah! Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Firstly, based on the plan, I made these kind of knobs (whatever they are called in real life,:))). I liked the contrast in colors, and the wheels actually were working,

but very wiggly...

After observing my Victoria carriage for a couple of days I decided to change the knobs and make the wheels non-working.

The good thing is I can change my mind again and make the wheels working even with new knobs, but then a question is raised: where this carriage would bring me?

Natalia, looking for horses...

Hi Natalia! Your carriage wheels are a work of art and as to where they will take you.... anywhere your heart desires! :D

A lovely Breyer horse in Classic size should do... ;O) Your carriage looks fantastic (whether the wheels work or not). I think the very tricky part will be the harness for the horses. I treated myself years ago with a carriage from Breyer with two Clydesdales and real leather harness... please do not ask how many curses were necessary until I finally managed to attach those teeny tiny halters etc. around those horses... I was lucky that those big horses are always patient... *LOL*

Wow, the contrasting colors of the wood are very pretty too. Great job!! And where it will take you, no one will know… :)

Wow, those wheels look beautiful. Can't wait to see it with horses and all, but I think Birgit is right, tiny fiddly straps and buckles.... :-)
I cheated... I used the inner tube of a bicycle tire to make a quick, not very neat, harness and simply glued it in place...
